Scenic Train Excursions

The Hiwassee River Rail Adventure’s 2010 Summer Excursions are underway in the mountains of southeastern Tennessee.  Restored vintage trains carry passengers on the former Louisville & Nashville Railroad’s “Old Line” for breathtaking rides into the Hiwassee River Gorge and over the legendary Hiwassee Loop.  Trains will run every weekend and some weekdays for the entire summer, with the schedule expanding as fall color approaches. Schedule includes half-day trips to the Hiwassee Loop and day-trips to Copperhill.
